John Churu – a Botswanan new media journalist – has emerged tops in the African Press Organisation (APO) invitation to participate in AfricaCom 2012, “the premier Pan-African communications event, taking place in Cape Town, South Africa, from 13 to 15 November 2012.”
A media advisory by Aïssatou Diallo revealed that “APO will offer transport, accommodation and perdiem” to aid Mr Churu’s participation and coverage of the entire event in Cape Town, South Africa.
For three years, Mr Churu has been the Bureau Chief for Biztechafrica and has written extensively on ICT issues. Churu has also previously written for the Sunday Tribune and Mmegi newspapers – both in Botswana. He is also a member of the Botswana Editors’ Forum.
